Erin Jamieson

In the middle of the night
you reach for me and I roll away
unable to recognize your touch,
but you try again, a simple caress
no words, nothing pushy, a hand
on the small of my back

it is only then, in our sleep
that I find my way back.

Erin Jamieson received an MFA in Creative Writing from Miami University of Ohio.
